BIOGRAPHY
Growing up in a musical family, Jonathan was fascinated by music composition from an early age. He started writing in early high school, creating and arranging pieces for his marching band-mates to perform, where he played the tenor trombone. He also began submitting remixes of video game music to the popular website "OCRemix" as his electronic artist alias "PrototypeRaptor."

Going on to attend the University of Oklahoma, he received a degree in Music Composition under the instruction of Dr. Marvin Lamb, graduating with distinction in 2012. During those years he continued to perform with orchestras and bands as a trombonist, and he wrote music for the OKC student film circuit as well as "PrototypeRaptor." This ongoing artist project began to see success, and has taken him around the country to DJ shows, while generating over 15 million streams to date - alongside 8 albums and numerous remixes, singles, and collaborations.

He now focuses on his production and composition endeavors while living in Dallas, Texas. Working with the music libraries scoreAscore, Hive Music, BedTracks, and several other music supervisors and agencies, his efforts have led to placements with many brands, including Coke, CollegeHumor, Microsoft, Shameless (HBO), Netflix, TikTok, and the Washington Post.
He has also written several original motion picture soundtracks, produced and co-written tracks for artists in the pop, rap, and electronic fields, mixed and mastered tracks for a variety of labels, been featured in and written original music for several video games, and worked on diverse custom projects ranging from a futuristic radio drama score for the "Halo 5" advertising campaign to a holiday light show based on "Call of Duty" music and gun sound effects.

His musical style leans into a hybrid approach of analog and digital, inspired by his classical training and electronic projects. He is equally at home writing scores to picture as well as crafting sound design elements for modern pop productions, and is fond of eclectic genre mixes and bespoke musical opportunities. His studio reflects this, with analog synths, rack effects, and multiple guitars and brass instruments for experimenting and recording on - and a suite of the latest software instruments to complement.

He has one studio assistant: a Corgi named Jack, who is always around, and necessitates a steady supply of treats and vacuuming.

Cheers to 2024!
